Player Development

Development is built into every Goldrush team, not sold as an add-on. Alongside team practices, every player gets structured skill work each week from the club's coaching staff.

  • Weekly shooting session (45 minutes per team) focused on release, accuracy and scoring habits.
  • Weekly video session (45 minutes per team) reviewing games and practices through Vidswap.
  • Club goaltending coach running two sessions a week for all Goldrush goalies.
  • Dedicated dryland trainer for strength, speed and injury prevention.
  • Age-progression curriculum so skills build season over season from 8U through 16U.

Our development partner: West Coast Academy

Camps, clinics and goaltending programs for Goldrush players run through our development partner, West Coast Academy, led by Goldrush Coaching Director Dean Caban. West Coast Academy delivers the skills, camp and clinic programming — including Saturday clinics — that complements what players get in their weekly team practices.

Club goaltending coaching for Goldrush teams is led by Paul Snyder, with Monday and Tuesday sessions and a Saturday clinic for all Goldrush goalies.

Dates, fees and registration for West Coast Academy programs live on their site rather than here.

Private lessons

Private lesson ice is available with Goldrush coaches and the club goaltending coach for players who want extra work on skating, skills or goaltending outside of team practice. See Private Lessons.
